THE PROBLEM
Youth disconnection has grown steadily in recent years, contributing to increased challenges related to mental health, identity development, and social pressures. This disconnection often manifests as risky behaviors, emotional distress, and poor academic performance. A significant driver of this issue is the weakening of meaningful connections between youth, their families, and their communities. The societal cost of this disconnection is high, as interventions are often reactive and implemented too late to create lasting change. Moreover, traditional support models frequently fail to engage youth and families effectively particularly those in culturally diverse settings leading to continued disengagement and unmet needs.
