Founded in 2015, Hope by Hope is a grassroots, community-driven nonprofit organization (501(c)(3)) initially established to serve the Smoketown community. Over the years, our mission has expanded to focus on empowering youth, uniting communities, and providing critical resources to those in need. As neighborhood ambassadors, we take pride in our hands-on approach working directly with community to promote unity, resilience, and opportunity.
Our work centers on fostering positive energy, offering practical solutions to life’s challenges, and strengthening the connection between youth, parents, teachers, and their community. Our diverse programming allows us to support individuals of all ages. Though deeply rooted in Smoketown, Hope by Hope proudly offers events and services that are open to residents throughout the Louisville Metro area.
MISSION
Our mission is to transform the lives of youth and families through mentorship, social-emotional development, and cultural healing. We use sports, entrepreneurship, education, and life skills as tools to promote healthy decision-making, reduce violence, foster leadership, self-sufficiency, and purpose. Through our programs we provide opportunities that empower youth to overcome trauma, reconnect with community, and realize their full potential.
VISION
To serve as a community-based resource hub that empowers community through mentorship, lifestyle management, cultural healing, and entrepreneurship. Through our innovative programs we envision a future where violence is prevented through education, increased visibility through community engagement and collaboration, and public inclusion. Through purpose-driven programming that promotes healing, leadership, and long-term success lives are transformed.
